Voixa ("we", "our", or "us") is a communication aid app for people with hearing or speech challenges. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Voixa mobile application ("the App").
Information We Collect
Device identifier
We generate and store an anonymous device ID to manage your free trial and credit balance. This ID is not linked to your name, email address, or any personal identity.
Microphone audio
Voixa uses your device's microphone to convert speech to text. Audio is processed either on-device (when available) or via a speech recognition service. We do not store, record, or transmit your audio to our servers.
Usage data
We store an anonymous count of how many phrases you have used, for the purpose of managing your subscription credits. No content of your conversations is ever stored.
No account required
Voixa does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
How We Use Information
- To manage your free trial and credit balance.
- To provide AI-powered reply suggestions (text only — no audio is sent).
- To improve app performance and reliability.
Third-Party Services
Voixa uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Speech recognition services — for converting spoken audio to text.
- Text-to-speech services — for speaking replies aloud.
- AI language services — for generating contextual reply suggestions (only transcribed text is sent, not audio).
- Google Play / Apple App Store — for processing in-app purchases.
- Cloud infrastructure services — for secure backend operations.
Data Storage
- Your credit balance and trial status are stored locally on your device and on our secure backend servers.
- Conversation history is stored temporarily in memory only and is cleared when you close the app.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Children's Privacy
Voixa is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed securely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not store your payment information.
Data Deletion
Since we only store an anonymous device ID and a usage count, there is no personal data to delete. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is automatically removed. To request deletion of your anonymous backend record, contact us using the form below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at getvoixa.com/privacy with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
